Several members of the Public Library Standing Committee joined colleagues from the Metropolitan Libraries Section at the MetLib 2013 Conference in Amsterdam. The theme for this conference Without borders: the integrated library is applicable to all public libraries and the speakers provided much valuable food for thought.
The conference was held in the stunning Amsterdam Public Library (OBA) and also included visits to the New Library of Almere, which has adopted a retail concept, and the Library at the newly re-furbished and re-opened Rijksmuseum.
Watch the Metropolitan Libraries site for the papers from this conference.
Thank you to everyone at OBA for your hospitality. We had a great time.
