The Zimbabwe Library Association an Affiliate Member of IFLA is grateful to announce its 48th ZimLA Annual Conference. This Conference brings together librarians, record managers, archivist and information specialists who will gather to deliberate on various topics to engage the minds of information professionals to find constructive solutions to better develop libraries of the twenty-first century. In a world where there is now an increasing Internet penetration as a means of communication that is resulting in capacity of individuals to access vast amounts of information, information professionals need to acquire this new knowledge so that they will be averse with the new connected virtual communities developing across the world. The Zimbabwe Library Association Conference will be running under the theme Working Smarter and Adding Value: The Changing Role of Librarianship

The Zimbabwe Library Association is calling upon information professionals across the world and region to be part of this important event and share their knowledge. Keynotes, paper presentations, panel discussions, and interactive breakout sessions, and exhibitions will focus on the Conference theme aligning all sub-themes detailed above.
As a National Association we encourage book publishers, book sellers, library computer software organizations, telecommunication industry, local and regional library online database publishers of all sizes and statures to attend, including both computer software and hardware administrators and technical staff charged with library software development so that they use this Conference to avail their brand to our Conference delegates from different types of libraries.
This important conference is thus open to all those with a quest for information sharing and its management. Thus you do not need to be a member of Zimbabwe Library Association to attend.
