The conference proceedings are published by Ergon Verlag as Classification and visualization: interfaces to knowledge.
The conference took place in Koninklijke Bibliotheek in The Hague, The Netherlands, on 24-25 October 2013, with 115 delegates from 24 countries, and was devoted to exploring advances and techniques in the visualization of knowledge across various fields of application and their potential impact on developments in the more main stream bibliographic and documentary classifications. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. W. Boyd Rayward.
The International UDC Seminar 2013 entitled Classification & Visualization: Interfaces to Knowledge will take place 24-25 October in
the National Library of the Netherlands (Koninklijke Bibliotheek), The Hague. The objective of this conference is to explore cutting edge advances and techniques in the visualization of knowledge across various fields of application and their potential impact on developments in the more main stream bibliographic and documentary classifications.
Early bird registration closes on 30 June. The registration fee covers lunches, refreshments, reception and the conference proceedings book. More information is available on the Conference website: http://seminar.udcc.org/2013.
Issue number 46 (December 2012) of the Cataloguing & Indexing Section Newsletter has been published.
