UDC conference presentations available

PDF versions of the slides and MP3 versions of the presentations slides and talks from the International UDC Seminar 2013 – “Classification and Visualization”are now available. The posters from the conference are also freely available online

The conference proceedings are published by Ergon Verlag as Classification and visualization: interfaces to knowledge.

The conference took place in Koninklijke Bibliotheek in The Hague, The Netherlands, on 24-25 October 2013, with 115 delegates from 24 countries, and was devoted to exploring advances and techniques in the visualization of knowledge across various fields of application and their potential impact on developments in the more main stream bibliographic and documentary classifications.  The keynote address was delivered by Prof. W. Boyd Rayward.

IFLA 2014 Satellite on linked data in libraries

A call for contributions to an IFLA 2014 Satellite meeting on linked data in libraries has been issued. The meeting will take place at Site François-Mitterrand, Bibliothèque nationale de France, Paris, on August 14, 2014 between 9am and 5pm. The call is for full papers or short presentations, with a submission deadline of March 8, 2014. See the full details of the announcement for further information.
