As every month, our information monitoring in Library and Information Science is full of call for papers, posters, publications….Among all of these calls, we have selected for you 4 events.

D’abord commençons par une information de notre section qui lance, en partenariat avec la maison d’édition de Gruyter Saur, un prix du meilleur article sur le thème : Digital Libraries: Knowledge creation and sharing. C’est l’occasion pour les chercheurs ou pour les bibliothécaires qui mènent des recherches de présenter des travaux originaux en vue d’une publication dans une des revue de l’éditeur. A la clé, en plus de la publication, un prix de 1000 euros sera remis au gagnant, de quoi financer de nouvelles recherches. Let’s begin with our own section, LTR, who is launching, with the Publisher De Gruyter Saur, a call for paper for an IFLA Research Award. on the topic Digital Libraries: Knowledge creation and sharing, you have until the 15th of February to senf a full text and maybe wining a publication in one of the journals of this Publisher, and 1000 euros for continuing research. Ensuite, partons aux USA, à Portland exactement, pour cette conférence sur la bibliothèque comme éditeur et soutient à la diffusion de la recherche et de la connaissance. Le thème de l’année est Creating and Supporting Sustainable Publishing Programs. La conférence est prévue pour mars et l’appel à propositions (communications, posters, panels et ateliers ou discussions argumentées appelées ici d’un poétique “Birds-of-a-feather session”) se termine le 31 décembre. Let’s go now in Portland, USA, for this very interesting conference to come about the library as publisher and support to the diffusion of research and knowledge. The topic of the year is Creating and Supporting Sustainable Publishing Programs. The conference will be held in March, but you have until the 31th of December to send you proposals. Allons maintenant en Europe, où l’association des directeurs de bibliothèques universitaires française (ADBU) organise le 2 décembre prochain à Paris avec l’AEF, une société de médias et d’information, une conférence sur la massification des données. Le thème de la conférence est Quelle(s) stratégie(s) de recherche face à la nouvelle massification des données ?. La conférence très riche en interventions de bibliothécaires comme de chercheurs, est intéressante du point de vue de son organisation avec une société de médias. Let’s go now in Europe, in France, where the ADBU (association of Directors of Academic Libraries) is organising a conference about massification of datas. This conference is organized with the AEF, a media company. The topic of the conference is Quelle(s) stratégie(s) de recherche face à la nouvelle massification des données ? and give opportunity to meet the opinions on this subject of librarians, researchers and journalists, as well. Enfin, partons en Afrique où se prépare le prochain congrès de l’IFLA. Les appels à communication pour le congrès comme pour ses conférences satellites commencent à paraitre. Certains sont déjà lancés depuis un petit moment comme celui de l’idea Café, organisé par les sections Continuing Professional Development et Public Libraries sur le thème Learning across boundaries.  Attention, la date limite de cet appel-ci est le 22 novembre, ne manquez pas la date. http://conference.ifla.org/ifla81/node/982

Let’s finish this world tour in Africa, where the next IFLA congress is preparing.
