Recommend WLIC papers for publication

A selection of the best conference papers from the IFLA World Library and Information Congress 2012 in Helsinki will be published in the IFLA Journal and Officers are invited to send their recommendations.

Section Standing Committees are invited to submit their recommendations to be considered for publication in IFLA Journal to the Editor, Stephen Parker (http://www.ifla.org/hq/freelancers/#stephen-parker), not later than 30 September 2012.  The Editorial Committee will review the recommended papers briefly and rank them in order of preference as regards their suitability for publication. The top ranking 10 or 12 papers will then reviewed in detail by at least two members of the committee.

The first papers approved for publication under this procedure may be expected to appear in Vol. 39, no. 1, March 2013.

A list of the remaining conference papers and the recommended papers that have not been selected for IFLA Journal will be sent to the publisher Emerald who will be invited to contact authors with a view to possible publication.

As was stated in relation to the congress, first refusal for publication of papers presented at IFLA General Conferences is reserved by IFLA (see http://conference.ifla.org/copyright).

Please take a look at your sessions to identify the best papers for publication and contact Stephen direct.
