Chers lecteurs,

From July 7 to Septembre 27, the exhibition Touching the past: the hand and the medieval book, in Los Angeles, will explore manuscripts as tangible, tactile objects that invited touch and were handled – reverently, carelessly, obsessively, and critically – by medieval audiences.

The PatrimEph project will handle a symposium about the links between « the ephemerals and the event » which will be the subject of a new publication. You can address your proposal before the 10th of July, and you will find more informations on this page.

From October 15 to October 17, the National Art History Institute (INHA) and the Sorbonne will host a symposium about book representations during the Carolingian and Ottonian times. You can find the detailed program and further information on the website of ArtHist.
