Follow up on ACD-CETYS Tijuana-Ensenada Workshop

FOLLOW-UP TO THE INTEREST CREATED BY IFLA´S INTERNATIONAL “SEMINAR ON GLOBAL TRENDS IN ACQUISITION, COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT IN ACADEMIC AND PUBLIC LIBRARIES IN EMERGING COUNTRIES: ROUNDTABLE AND TRAINING”

 In June 2013 a “Seminar on Global Trends in Acquisition, Collection Development and Management in Academic and Public Libraries in Emerging Countries: Roundtable and Training” was co-organized by members of the IFLA Standing Committee for Acquisition and Collection Development (including Joseph Hafner, Chair; Regine Schmolling, Secretary, Jérôme Fronty, Information coordinator; Julia Gelfand, Member; Helen Ladrón de Guevara Cox, Corresponding Member.) and the CETYS´s University, Tijuana Campus, Baja California Mexico (Rubén Martinez). A group of nearly thirty librarians attended. As a result of the seminar a second workshop on collection development issues took place on November 2 to 4, 2014.
