All of you who work with periodicals are familiar with ISSN, this international standard helping identify each print or online serials and continuing ressources worldwide. In 2015, the ISSN network will be 40 years old, and the Brazilian Institute of Science and Technology Information (IBICT) is going to publish on this occasion a special issue of the journal Ciência da Informação (ISSN: 1518-8353). You can send papers’ abstracts until January 30th on any ISSN related subject : history, testimony, statistics… Selection will be done on February 27th for a publication in August. Tous ceux d’entre vous qui travaillent sur des périodiques sont familiers de l’ISSN, cette norme internationale qui permet d’identifier toute série papier ou en-ligne et plus généralement toute ressource à parution récurrente. En  2015, le réseau ISSN aura 40 ans, et l’Institut Brésilien des Sciences et Technologies de l’Information (IBICT) publiera à cette occasion un numéro spécial de la revue Ciência da Informação (ISSN: 1518-8353). Vous pouvez envoyer des résumés d’articles jusqu’au 30 janvier, sur tout sujet en lien avec l’ISSN : son histoire, témoignages sur son usage, statistiques… La sélection sera faite pour le 27 février et la publication est prévue en août. Periodicals, among lots of other documents, often take place in our digital libraries. On September 14-18, 2015, the 19th edition of the International Conference On Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries will take place in Poznań, Poland. Submission is not yet open (it should open in the second quarter of 2015) but submission is, until March 20. Don’t hesitate to take a look at the official website : http://tpdl2015.info/.

Les périodiques, comme de nombreux autres documents, prennent souvent place dans nos bibliothèques numériques. Du 14 au 18 septembre 2015 aura lieu à Poznań en Pologne la 19ème édition de la Conférence Internationale sur la Théorie et la Pratique des Bibliothèques Numériques (International Conference On Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries). Les inscriptions ne sont pas encore ouvertes (elles devraient ouvrir dans au second trimestre 2015) mais il est possible de proposer des contributions jusqu’au 20 mars. Digital libraries are not the only innovation due to the digital transformation in our institutions : lots of us have also been taken advantage of the so-called “social web” or web 2.0. The Canadian Journal of Information and Library Science is publishing a special issue on this subject : “Archives, Libraries and Museums in the Era of the Participatory Social Web”. You may send a draft of article until January 31st, in French or English. Les bibliothèques numériques ne constituent pas la seule innovation liée à la transformation numérique de nos institutions : beaucoup d’entre nous ont également tiré profit de ce qu’il est convenu d’appeler le “web social” ou web 2.0. Le Canadian Journal of Information and Library Science prépare un numéro spécial sur ce sujet : “Archives, Bibliothèques et Musées à l’ère du web social et participatif”. Have you heard of the ADLAB project ? Since 2011, this three-year european project on audiodescription (ADLAB standing for “AudioDescription : Lifelong Access for the Blind”) has been trying to design reliable and consistent guidelines for audiodescription, and to improve its practice. The final report, as well as lots of ressources, is now available on the website : as the inclusion of the visually deficient is a serious matter for lots of libraries, you may want to take a look at it : http://www.adlabproject.eu/

Avez-vous entendu parler du projet ADLAB ? Depuis 2001, ce projet européen de trois ans consacré à l’audiodescription (ADLAB est l’acronyme de “AudioDescription : Lifelong Access for the Blind”) s’efforce de rédiger des lignes directrices fiables et durables concernant sur l’audiodescription, et d’améliorer sa pratique. Le rapport final, ainsi que de nombreuses ressources, est désormais disponible sur le site internet du projet. Comme l’inclusion des déficients visuels est un important enjeu pour de nombreuses bibliothèques, vous pourriez vouloir y jeter un œil : http://www.adlabproject.eu/
