today our information monitoring is back and with the new school year begin come newly organized articles. During the holidays, we decided to modify our articles, by presenting you, with more details, the most intersting items, this to avoid the “list” effect. We hope these new articles will suit you. aujourd’hui nous entamons la reprise de nos articles de veille. Et qui dit nouvelle rentrée, dit nouveautés en termes de construction des articles. Après avoir eu du temps pour y réfléchir cet été, nous avons décidé de modifier nos articles de veille en vous proposant pour chaque veille, les items qui nous sembleront les plus intéressants, ceci afin d’éviter l’effet « liste ». If Strasbourg is a destination for you, we inform you that an international conference on book and library history will take place there between the 13th and 15th october. There will be 5 sequences and the conference will receive university professors from the whole world. At the end of the day the 14th and 15th october, you will be able to visite the BNUS (the national and university library from Strasbourg) and the ancient collections from the médiathèque André Malraux. Participation is possible for everyone as long as there are seats left.

Si Strasbourg fait partie de vos prochaines destinations, nous vous informons que du 13 au 15 octobre, un colloque international sur l’histoire du livre et des bibliothèques. Il se compose de 5 séances et accueillera des professeurs d’université venus de tous horizons. A l’issue des conférences du 14 et du 15 octobre vous pourrez visiter la BNUS ainsi que le fonds ancien de la médiathèque André Malraux. La participation est ouverte à tous dans la limite des places disponibles

Between the 7 and 10th july 2015, the 23rd SHARP (Society for History of Authorship, reading and Publishing) congress will take place in Longueil/Montréal (Canada). The theme is “The Generation and Regeneration of Books”. For this occasion a call for papers was launched and you will be able to propose papers until the 30th november 2014. The inscriptions for the congress will begin in march 2015.

Du 7 au 10 juillet 2015 se tiendra le 23^ème congrès SHARP (Society for History of Authorship, reading and Publishing) à Longueil/Montréal (Canada). Il a pour thème « générations et régénérations du livre ». A cette occasion, un appel à communications a été lancé pour lequel il faudra soumettre vos propositions d’ici le 30 novembre 2014. Les inscriptions seront quant à elles ouvertes dès mars 2015.

The electronic periodical Tabularia is providing a file on medieval libraries in the Normandy and in the norman worlds. The file focus more precisely on exchanges and circulation. On the website you will be able to choose between a PDF or an XML version.

This article is about the Timbuktu’s manuscripts. Indeed,  a project for the conservation of those manuscripts was launched. The goal is to restore them, digitize them and catalogue them in order to preserve teh cultural heritage in Mali

Cet article traite de la problématique des manuscrits de Tombouctou. En effet un projet de conservation de ces manuscrits a été lancé. Il s’agit de les restaurer, les numériser et les cataloguer, afin de préserver l’héritage culturel du Mali.

Finally, after 18 years of closing, the Teresiana library in Mantua reopened its doors in march 2014. Today the library is hosting an exhibition on the ancient book covers of the library. This exhibition will take place until the 15th january 2015 and is called ” Le materie dei libri. Le legature storiche della Biblioteca Teresiana “. It is organized by Carlo Federici and Federico Macchi.

Après 18 années de fermeture, la bibliothèque Teresiana de Mantoue a réouvert ses portes en mars 2014. Aujourd’hui elle accueille une exposition sur les reliures anciennes de la bibliothèque, qui aura lieux jusqu’au 11 septembre 2015. L’exposition est intitulée « Le materie dei libri. Le legature storiche della Biblioteca Teresiana » et organisée par Carlo Federici et Federico Macchi
